Learning Objectives:

• Describe the advantages and risks of NSM and what is involved surgically.
• Discuss the pertinent imaging findings at mammography, US, and breast MRI that can preclude candidacy for NSM in patients with newly diagnosed malignancy.
• Recognize the normal MRI appearance of flap reconstruction in patients who have undergone NSM and of common benign complications and recurrent disease.

The RCPSC recording system (MAINPORT) will automatically convert the credit hours for this program to three credits per claimed hour (1 hour x 3 = 3 credit hours).

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
