Learning Objectives:
- Discuss the main uses of MTX in current gynecologic and obstetric practice, with emphasis on mechanism of action, and its role in the medical treatment of EP and GTN.
- Recognize the role of transvaginal US in determining indications for MTX therapy, with focus on imaging appearances of gynecologic and pregnancy-related conditions following MTX treatment.
- Describe the sonographic appearances that help identify treatment success and failure, including complications following MTX treatment.
