Learning Objectives:
- Identify microvascular obstruction on late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) cardiac MRI and explain its pathophysiology
- Explain the limitations of the current cardiac MRI sequences for the quantification of the area at risk (AAR) after coronary artery obstruction
- Specify how different infarct parameters influence T1 and T2 values
