Learning Objectives:
- Discuss some of the most important diseases in the thorax including, mediastinal lesions, airways and interstitial lung diseases and lesions that are easily missed on chest radiographs.
- Discuss 'hiding' places of lung lesions and will have reasonable differentials for mediastinal, pleural and lung parenchymal diseases.
- Identify characteristic imaging findings of thoracic disorders in the pediatric population.
- List the most likely pulmonary infectious pathogen based on predominate radiographic pattern.
- Show an interactive case-based discussion of the diagnosis and management of important and unusual manifestations of thoracic malignancy.
- Explain the locations that small and large lesions can go undetected on a chest radiograph.
- Demonstrate confidence in interpreting chest radiographs.
