Learning Objectives:
- Discuss barriers to use of imaging for investigation and diagnosis of elder abuse.
- Review imaging features that should raise clinical concern for elder abuse, including specific types of fractures, characteristic soft-tissue or organ injury, and inconsistent history of the mechanism of injury when compared with the imaging findings.
- Describe future recommendations for research studies and clinical workflow to increase radiologists’ awareness of and participation in elder abuse detection.

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
This journal-based CME activity can be applied towards the ABR MOC self-assessment requirement (SA-CME).

The RCPSC recording system (MAINPORT) will automatically convert the credit hours for this program to three credits per claimed hour (1 hour x 3 = 3 credit hours).
