After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

Discuss the radiographic appearance of femoral prostheses and common periprosthetic femoral fracture patterns encountered in the ED.
Identify the radiologic findings that are associated with increased fracture risk and those that are critical for determining management of periprosthetic fractures.
Describe the terminology and classification system for periprosthetic femoral fractures used by orthopedic surgeons to guide treatment decisions based on fracture location, implant stability, and residual bone quality.
