Beyond the Boards Module 1: Understanding the New Diagnostic Radiology Oral Exam (2025)
Course Overview

This foundational module introduces radiology educators to the structure, rationale, and implementation of the new Diagnostic Radiology Oral Exam, launching in 2028. Designed in response to evolving clinical practice and stakeholder feedback, the exam marks a significant shift from the previous format, reintroducing oral assessment to better reflect real-world radiologic decision-making. Through two engaging lectures by Dr. Desiree Morgan, MD, and Dr. Katherine E. Maturen, MD, along with supplementary resources, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the exam’s structure, rationale, and implementation.
